Yakawlang-Dara-e-Suf road is more than 58 percent complete

Bamyan: The road that extends from the Yakawlang district of Bamyan province to the Dara-e-Suf district of Samangan province is underway and has reached its 58 percent work progress so far.

Currently, the 87 kilometer part of the road that’s located in Bamyan province is under construction by the Ministry of Public Works.

This important national project has been contracted between the Ministry of Public Works and a private construction company and is funded by the Asian Development Bank.

Yakawlang-Dara-e-Suf road is a part of the North-South corridor, which is going to be a short alternative route through central Afghanistan, and will play an important role in economic growth, trade, tourism, and regional connectivity.

Indeed, the implementation of this project has created job opportunities for a number of local residents of Bamyan and neighboring provinces.
