Construction of Bolagh Bridge in Uruzgan is ready for operation

The construction of a seventy-two (72) meters long and seven(7) meters wide bridge namely ”Bolagh Pol” that’s located in Terinkot city, the capital of Uruzgan province, has been completed and ready for operation.

This project, which will get the capital of Uruzgan more connected to its two districts the Charchino and Dehraoud, included at least 146 meters of protection walls too.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, this project was contracted with a private construction company, which costs around 34-million Afghanis that’s funded directly by the Afghan Government.

During the construction of this project, hundreds of local laborers and the residents of the capital Terinkot have been provided employment opportunities, so far.

This project will abridge the long distance between Terinkot and the two districts, will make it easier for local residents to access education and health services, and transfer their agricultural products to the local marketplace, on time.

The Ministry of Public Works intends to implement more development projects in areas that are less developed or have not received serious attention in the last two decades.
