Nimroz: The 300-Meter long RCC Bridge between Zaranj and Kong district hits 83% progress
The construction of a 300-meter-long bridge on the Zaranj-Kong road in the Sarshila district of Nimroz province is underway, and its physical progress has reached almost 83 percent, so far.
This project has been funded by the Afghan Government and being implemented by a private construction company.
According to the Ministry of Public Works, the bridge along with 400-meter protective walls is a two-way infrastructure located over the Helmand River tributary in the Sarshila area, which connects Zaranj city with the Kong district of Nimroz.
It’s noteworthy that the construction of this bridge will connect hundreds of thousands of rural residents to the urban areas of Nimroz and its neighboring Herat province.
Otherwise, with the completion of this project, the residents of below villages like; Haji Janan, Sarshila, Mohammad Younis, Haji Hakim, Khan Kalai, Mohammad Safar Kalai, Haji Nazar Mohammad Kalai, Haji Abdullah Kalacha, Narani Keli, and Mohammad Ayub Uzbekzai will be facilitated and connected to the capital city of Nimroz.
