MoPW: Poor quality roads are being rebuilt by contraction companies

The Ministry of Public Works has notified all the construction companies and stakeholders to implement all projects of roads according to technical standards and the content of the agreements.
As a new precondition that has been added to the contexts of agreements, the Ministry of Public Works has been changed the final handover period/DLP (Defects liability period) of a project from one year to three years, so if the project gets damaged in those three years, the contracting company is obliged to repair the damaged parts of the road or well-maintained the whole project.
Accordingly, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Works decided that the contractor of the 4.49 km long road project in Thop Darra area of Parwan province, which has built the road with poor quality, was given an order to restore the errors of that road by adding a new layer of asphalt pavement.
