Faryab: The construction of “Aq Masjid Bridge” in Pashtun-Kot district is underway
The project of a Sixty meters long and five meters wide RCC concrete bridge that’s located in the Aq Masjid village of Pashtun Kot district in Faryab province is under construction.
The total cost of the project is around 26 million Afghanis, funded from the Afghan government's un-conditional budget and implemented via the National Rural Access Program (NRAP) of the Ministry of Public Works.
The construction of this bridge has been contracted with a private construction company, and it has almost 33% work progress.
Based on the assessment of NRAP project management officials; from this project, some 980 local residents will directly and nearly 5450 people will be indirectly benefited.
Otherwise, the construction of this bridge will make it easier for locals to increase their access to the public services centers and deliver their agricultural products to the marketplace, on time.
