“Gardez-Rohani Baba” road construction reaches 42%

Gardez: This 6.55-kilometer long and 7-meter wide road that connects Gardez city with Rouhani Baba district is one of the important projects, which is implementing via the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan.

The contract of this project was signed with a private construction company for more than 136 million that’s funded by the Government of Japan.

Based on the report of the Ministry of Public Works, the current status of this project has been reached its 42% work progress and the ongoing activities of the project will be completed according to its action plan and Bill of Quantities.

According to the project management unit of MoPW, the components of this project include a 15-meter long bridge and 21 piers of culverts that have different shapes and sizes.

By the completion of this project, the engagement's status between the people of the two neighboring provinces Paktia & Paktika will be increased and they will find a new easier gateway to the local marketplace.
