Bamyan: Construction of a 7 km of gravel road is 50% complete

This 7.38-kilometer-long gravel road project including its related structures, which extends from the main provincial road of Bamyan into the villages of Ekhtiaran and Kaj Shiberto, has reached 50% of work progress.

The project has been contracted between the Ministry of Public Works and two local development councils and is funded by the Government of Afghanistan.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, during the construction period of this project, some 1,160 working days have been created directly and indirectly for a number of local residents.

 In addition to the construction of asphalt roads, the Ministry of Public Works is constructing a number of rural and gravel roads in various provinces, which, in addition to creating job opportunities, but also provides basic transportation facilities for the local residents.
