Construction of 300-meter Bridge in Nimroz is nearing to complete

The construction of a 300-meter-long bridge on the Zaranj-Kong road in the Sarshila district of Nimroz province has more than 75 percent physical progress.

The project, valued at 231-million Afghanis, has been funded by the Afghan Government and being implemented by a private construction company.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the bridge along with 400-meter protective walls is a two-way infrastructure located over the Helmand River tributary in the Sarshila area, which connects Zaranj city with the Kong district of Nimroz.

It’s noteworthy that the construction of this bridge will connect hundreds of thousands of rural residents to the urban areas of Nimroz and its neighboring province of Herat.
