Salang district; an RCC Bridge is being built instead of a cable car

Parwan: In the Salang district of Parwan province, instead of a cable car passageway, the main bridge is now being built that people used to cross from the sea, it is being rehabilitated with an RCC bridge that's construction is underway.

Due to the danger of the suspension bridge and based on the request of regional people, the Ministry of Public Works decided to build a 30-meter-long bridge including a 200-meter concrete road over the river.

This project was been contracted between the Ministry of Public Works and a private construction company, which is being funded by the Government of Afghanistan.

During this project, a number of job opportunities were been created for the local residents and with the completion of this bridge, the transportation problems of the people will be solved completely.

It is worth mentioning that the National Rural Access Program of the Ministry of Public Works (NRAP) tries to build roads and bridges in remote areas to solve the problems of public transportation.
