NRAP of MRRD relocates & merges with its stakeholder in MoPW

According to the decree of H.E. The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the National Rural Access Program (NRAP) wing of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) was transferred to the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW).

The NRAP was previously run jointly by the two ministries (MoPW & MRRD), but after now it will be run only by the MoPW, which will follow the mission to implement many projects in rural areas.

Eng. Najibullah Yamin, Minister of MoPW, in a welcoming meeting with the managing staff of the program, called on them to put the village of Afghanistan at the top of their agenda. He emphasized advancing the work honestly with zero corruption.

“The NRAP is a valuable national program, which is essentially covering the construction of the rural roads to full-fill the basic needs of people and their access to roads,” Minister of Public Works said.

“The MoPW has a plan to establish a training institute for coaching all the technical staff in laboratories, surveys, project design, and human resources.”

Meanwhile, the officials of NRAP expressed their satisfaction with the plans of the Minister of Public Works and assured them that they will carry out the work with full honesty.
