Kabul: Construction of a 2.37 km-long road in the 17th region has 52% progress

This road project with a length of 2.37 km, which is being constructed in the “Peace Residential Town”, located in the 17th Nahia (region) of Kabul city, reached almost 52% of physical progress, so far.

The project was contracted between the Ministry of Public Works and a private construction company and is funded by the Government of Afghanistan.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, during the construction of this road, more job opportunities have been created for a number of local residents, which, in addition to solving transportation problems, will also play an important role in reducing the environmental pollution in the area.  

Meanwhile, the MoPW is struggling to function and implement more development projects (concrete and gravel roads) in remote parts of the country, and also in those populous areas of various cities that strongly need transportation infrastructures.
