MoPW refers 37 employees to judiciary on suspicion of corruption

Officials of the Ministry of Public Works say during the last six months, they have referred the documents of 37 suspicion employees to the judiciary on a charge of corruption.

According to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Works, they are fully committed to fighting against corruption and have made significant achievements, so far.

Otherwise, the MoPW recently launched a professional audit training program to improve the capacity of the staff of the Internal Audit Department.

This training course will last for two months; the first month of the session will be led by the fellows of the internal audit of MoPW, and the second session is going to be led by the professional auditors of the Ministry of Finance.

This training teaches the young inspectors of MoPW all about the theories, Legal, and Legislative Affairs to enforce laws, regulations, and procedures more effectively.

To be transparent in their work, the MoPW’s staff are also be given a patriotic spirit, so that they can be effective in the fight against corruption, indeed.

It is noteworthy, in the last six months, the Internal Audit Department of the MoPW has referred 28 cases and a total of 37 employees to judicial authorities, including survey engineers, managers, directors, departments’ heads, and even an ex-deputy minister.

Similarly, at least 53 employees of MoPW were disciplined under the Civil Service Law, and another 37 cases are currently under investigation by the Internal Audit Department too.
