Maintenance of Gardez-Khost highway was accomplished

Paktia: As the Ministry of Public Works always strives to ensure that the road maintenance department is always active and recovering slight damages to prevent further destruction of roads, thus it has taken action and maintained the highway between Paktia and Khost provinces.

This highway that’s the main route of South-Eastern Afghanistan, starts from the center of Gardiz city and reaches Sayed Khel Bridge, located in the Shamal district of Khost province, is about 70-kilometer long provincial road.

Besides fixing the damaged shoulders of the road, they have cleaned all alluvial of the culverts and ditches that’s were being blocked due to the recent seasonal floods, the provincial director of MoPW said.
